39' Sabre 2005 SOL

SOL Great opportunity to own a quality built Jim Taylor designed Sabre 386 that in 2005 was voted "Boat of the Year" by Cruising World magazine as the best "Midsize overall domestic & performance cruiser ". Sabre Yachts is known for producing quality built sailing and Downeast boats, that offer beautiful handcrafted cherry cabinetry, smartly designed spacious accommodations with exceptional storage. Features and accommodations include Two staterooms, with a island bed master Head with stall shower Spacious salon with dual settees.

The Sabre 386 offers a spacious main salon and stateroom accommodations which are all finished in a handcrafted satin cherry. The main salon features two settees, a well appointed galley, navigation center and a head with stall shower. The space is well lit thanks in part to the port and starboard windows and overhead skylights equipped with Ocean-Air screen systems.

The hull of the 386 is built as a single unit of hand laminated E-Glass, cored with Divinycell closed cell PVC foam, and finished with ISO NPG gelcoat. Below the waterline is chopped strand glass and vinylester resin. The deck is made of a single unit, hand laminated fiberglass, with Divinycell core, and high density PVC coring in all high stress areas. The hull and deck joint is internal which is sealed with 3M 5200 and fastened together using stainless steel through bolts. In addition, all bulkheads, berth faces, shelves and floor stringers are laminated directly to the hull. The keel is a modern fin design made of lead with antimony added for additional strength. The balanced rudder is molded fiberglass bonded to a carbon fiber post. The rudder support tube is laminated directly to the hull and utilizes a removable UHMW bearing system to house the rudder post. Using these materials and building techniques allows Sabre to produce one of the stiffest, strongest, and most dependable structures available today.
