The spacious,\nversatile and comfortable interior layout of is perfect to use as a\nlive-a-board, for cruising with family and friends and for a couple who is\nready to set off on a sailing adventure.
Starting forward, the\nmaster stateroom is large with a centerline double berth. The head of the berth\ncan be raised up for reading in bed or watching TV. Storage, light and\nventilation are plentiful in this well laid-out cabin. There is private access\nto a large, port-side head with an electric toilet and a separate shower with\nseat.
Moving aft into the\nsalon, there are two starboard side seats with a small cocktail/game table\nbetween them which can be lowered to form a single berth or settee. A large,\nU-shaped settee with a dining table is directly across from the seats. The\nlarge dining table folds to cocktail size and also lowers to form an extra\ndouble berth. In addition, there is abundant storage below all the main cabin\nseating.
Continuing aft on the\nstarboard side, you will find a nav station with a forward facing chart table.\nThe table is designed to accommodate a P.C. and has drawers and a file drawer\nbelow. Directly aft of the nav station is the guest head which has dual\nentrances from both the salon and the aft guest stateroom. It is also\nconveniently located next to the companionway stairs for easy access from the\ncockpit.
Just aft of the guest\nhead is the large, guest cabin. This cabin has a double berth which is angled\nto provide increased headroom, ventilation and storage space.

This is\na flexible space that can easily be converted to meet your cruising needs\nwithout tools or additional parts. The cabin can be used as an additional guest\ncabin with either a double berth or upper and lower singles. R&R is set-up for cruising comfortably! Her solar\npanels provide a total of 570 Watts, which is approximately double the capacity\nof most other boats on the market. This means that by mid-day while\ncruising, the energy levels in the batteries are topped off from the previous\nnight and they will be able to easily keep up with electronics, refrigeration\nand more on solar power alone! The 6kw generator offers more electrical power\nwhen needed.

Catalina leads sail\ncontrols to the cabin top is the same configuration on all the boats in the\nline. If you are familiar with the rigging on one Catalina model, you can\neasily adjust to any other model. Traveler controls for both sides are led to\none point, so you don\'t switch spots to adjust. When you live with a boat,\nthese details matter!
Twin independent\nbackstays provide extra security for the mast and open the stern passageway. A\ndedicated electronics hotspot just forward of the traveler (and clear of foot\ntraffic) eliminates a forest of antennas on the transom. Additional features\ninclude twin wheels and transom lifelines that open with pelican hooks, then\nretract and disappear to make a clear passage from the swim step. The cockpit\ntable has an insulated cooler, handrails, engine panel and a chartplotter\nhousing that rotates to port and starboard. The back of the cabin house is\nproperly squared off so that you can rest against it at sea. Curved seating is\ngreat for cocktail time, but when you\'re traveling long periods at sea, a\nsquared-off cockpit with long seats is much more comfortable to stretch out for\na quick nap or to spend time resting your back against the house.
The rig has in-mast\nfurling and vertical battens to aid the shape of the mainsail. The spar\nis deck-stepped to the top plate of a compression post. This configuration\nlessens noise below while eliminating the leaks of keel-stepped masts. Genoa\ntracks are 13\'9\" long to accommodate adjustments to large overlapping\nheadsails.
The decks of the 445\nare uncluttered and easy to get around at the dock or at sea. The shrouds\nare inboard enough to allow easy passage forward. There are six opening\ndeck hatches and four opening ports that allow plenty of light and ventilation\nthrough the boat. The hatches all have insulated covers also.
