Description
1987 C&C 33′
Break Away
Always innovating until the end, C&C set about building strong, durable hulls without their standard balsa coring in the 33-2. Instead, a robust structural “spider system” carried the hull loads and spread them out–the industry standard today. In addition to sturdy rod rigging, this produced a boat that was light, yet strong, and easy to sail in a wide range of weather conditions.
Many C&C owners were racers first and cruisers second–the designs fit so many needs. This boat began life as a racer for her first few years, but when sold to her current owner, she began a life of gentle cruising. This means none of the wear and tear of evening races around the buoys and weekend campaigns has taken a toll on Break Away! As one of the last 25% of the C&C production run, you get a gently sailed, later model that is priced attractively!
